I'm a happy pharmacy student. My interests include visual novels and Josei.
Why did you make this site?
I've been meaning to do something like this since rumors of Tumblr shutting down started popping up. I want to archive my things.
I also like checking out other people's sites so it felt like a natural next step. The most important reason is that I enjoy the process :D
RECOMMENDATIONS
Things I don't post about but want you to check regardless.
The Tokyo Zodiac Murders - A murder mystery where the 2 main characters are trying to solve an infamous case that happened
decades ago. The solution is really fun, and can be figured out pretty early if one is astute enough. The characters and the descriptions of the setting
are pretty charming, as well.
Rebecca - A gothic novel about an unnamed young woman, the second wife of a wealthy widower called Maxim, moving to his estate. The titular character is
Rebecca, the first wife of Maxim, whose memory torments the house. Daphne Du Maurier is great at using unassuming and beautiful language to describe bloodcurdling events. I relish the
sinking dread I feel. If you like Umineko you'll probably enjoy it.
Guacamelee! - A 2d Action-Exploration game like Hollow Knight. It looks and sounds fucking amazing. What makes it stand out
from others of its genre is the sheer amount of movement options you get during your journey. They are have many uses which the game takes advante of in
many platforming puzzles across its world. Everything I say goes for the sequel as well.
Killer7 - On-rails shooter with some of the most striking visuals and atmosphere I've ever seen. A dynamite story to boot, one
that takes a lot of inspo from grungy american action movies. The music is composed by Masafumi Takada, which is a huge selling point. The gameplay is pretty
forgiving for the most part, so you don't have to worry if you are bad at shooters like me. It has attached itself to my brain in a way only a kinda shit cult classic can.
Tears of Xivo - A turn-based fantasy RPG with a really unique and charming art direction. The cast is very colorful, literary, and figuratively.
and you can date them :D The demo is currently out on itch.io. You should check it out!
Sugar Cane Alley - The bright and sweet orphan José's life in his village working at a sugarcane field. It's about slavery, rich culture
of Martinique in the 30s and family. It's more focused on touching your heart rather than an in depth look into the societal dynamics of the time. And, boy, does it do that.
The Arctic - There are so many damn stories about trying to survive in extreme conditions after a plane crash and this is the only one that is actually
good.
One Hundred Years of Solitude - I'm planning to read the book at some point because I loved it so much. An multi-generational story about
a family completely obsessed with itself, and cycles of time. You'll just have to watch it yourself. Do it! Mind the content warnings, though.
